Shell-Guard RTU is a ready-to-use borate-based preservative containing the same active ingredients and glycolic compounds. The product is colorless and odorless, very low in toxicity to humans and pets, and is an effective remedy against wood decay and insect damage on both interior and exterior wood. Since it is a ready-to-use product, you can pour it directly from the container into the sprayer without worrying about measuring or mixing. Before applying, make sure the wood is clean, dry and mold-free.
In addition to ease of use, Shell-Guard RTU has other advantages, such as a uniform density of the product and a relatively fast drying time. The logs can be stained already 1-3 days after applying Shell-Guard RTU to the wood surface (drying time depends on the air temperature).
