Check Mate 2 is specially designed for filling cracks in logs. The dynamics of the movement of the logs is different from how the logs affect the joints of the log wall, therefore the especially elastic sealant Check Mate 2 is necessary in the maintenance of the log house. It is a waterproof sealant that prevents both water and air from entering the cracks. It is also possible to fill cracks in the log with other sealing materials, but the best adhesion and weather resistance is ensured when filling cracks with Check Mate 2 sealant. It is especially important to seal any upward cracks where water can seep into them. If these cracks are left unfilled, rot can begin to take over. If you have old cracks where water has already damaged the wood, be sure to apply Check Mate 2 before sealing Shell-Guard RTU wood preservative. To test the product order a sample package, contains 1. small tube and 1. meter of sealing strip.
Recommended application temperature: +5 to +30°C. Avoid direct sunlight when installing. The product dries within 1 hour, but reaches the appropriate hardness within 2-3 days, depending on the humidity and temperature. For best results, use joint spatula. When first applied, the shade may be lighter than it actually is, the shade dries darker.
